From competing as a professional fitness model to co-owning a personal training business, Belinda penetrated the hospitality industry working as a corporate fitness executive for leading companies in hospitality such as Iberostar Spa & Resorts to Blue Diamond Resorts and currently, UMusic Hotels (a division of Universal Music Group).
Today, as a new mother, Belinda continues to live a life that is impactful and meaningful in creating simple yet effective solutions for other mothers in her health coaching business and founded "Hii5 Fit," an online fitness app with a concise workout system catering to busy women, especially mothers - where a lack of time, finances and support were at the forefront in the creation of this extremely effecient, yet effective fitness platform.
With over 20 years of experience in the fitness & wellness industry, I have been fortunate to have coached a colorful list of clients in my years as a personal trainer/yoga instructor. I have co-owned my own business/gym while I competed professionally in fitness modeling as a WBFF Pro Fitness Diva to Canadian Bikini Champion to an IFBB Pro Bikini Athlete - all within a year and half!
I graduated at York University in Toronto, Canada with a Bachelors Degree in Health Studies (Psychology as my major); Coached fitness and health professionals internationally, athletes, fitness and pageant competitors, to name a few. After transitioning careers into hospitality as Corporate Fitness Director for leading hotels in Mexico & Caribbean, I took a break from work and was then blessed with my beautiful daughter.
A year and half postpartum, I returned to work remotely in marketing & sales in the hospitality and entertainment industry and continue to do so currently. That being said, I found myself empathizing heavily with fellow mothers during these past two years - living through the challenges of a working-mom faced with the daily struggles of lacking in energy (emotionally + physically); personal space, lack of support and scheduling workouts, especially in early motherhood.
Life changes. And somewhere in between adapting to "new normal" lifestyles of motherhood, whilst maintaining a healthy relationship with your partner and juggling social life (or lack of), I understand that losing weight after growing a human inside of you and gaining muscle can be very challenging! So, here I am to offer you my support as my goal is to help you, mama to create solutions to overcome hurdles REALISTICALLY and reach your own fitness + wellness goals.
